We are fighting RSV and ear infections at our house this week. The doctor said there's a possiblity that Jude might have to be hospitalized if his breathing gets any worse. His oxygen levels have been remaining in the low 90's which is on the border for needing to be put in the hospital. He hasn't responded to any of the breathing treatments or the deep suction (they stuck a tube up his nose and down his throat and hooked it up to a wet vac and sucked the mucus out of his lungs- that's a fun way to spend a Friday morning). Poor little guy just can't catch his breath most of the time and isn't eating or sleeping much either. The doctor said he will probably be pretty sick for another couple of weeks (no day care for another week and a half!) and could have a bad cough for as long as six months. The only good thing is that he is what the doctor called a "happy weezer", meaning despite being so sick, he doesn't seem to mind most of the time. He's a little fussier than usualy but isn't really that bad. I think he sounds like Darth Vader. Madie is also being a trooper with two ear infections and the same virus that caused Jude all this trouble. She loves the taste of her medicine and is still being a good girl and cracking us up most of the time (like the time she came out of the closet saying "I wear mommy's boobies"-- see the picture). Keep the kids in your prayers, and Huy and I, too--we are getting run down from all the sleepless nights- and we just started sleeping through the night! Man, I'm so ready for summer!!!

yeah, we dress her in nothing but the best :)
i just haven't had the heart to let her play with the care bear- it's too white and pretty. but when i told her it was from "Oji Bill" she started calling it "Oji Bear".
Well, how are the sick kids doing? Did Madi's peacock flip flops fit? Who gets to stay home this week?
